Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) is seeking an experienced, licensed or license-eligible mental health professional to join Cougar Care as our Behavioral Health Coordinator. Candidates must be licensed, or license eligible, in the State of Illinois for independent clinical practice.

The Behavioral Health Coordinator serves as a trusted clinical resource within Counseling Services and plays an important role in supporting a collaborative, clinically responsive, and student-centered counseling center. Rather than maintaining a traditional ongoing therapy caseload, this position focuses on same-day access, crisis assessment and intervention, consultation on complex clinical presentations, continuity of care, and clinical supervision and mentorship.

A central part of this role is supporting the growth of others. The Behavioral Health Coordinator provides clinical supervision, consultation, and mentorship to practicum students, trainees, and clinicians working toward independent licensure while helping foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and clinical excellence.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three years of post-graduate clinical experience in a mental health setting, training and experience in clinical supervision or clinical mentoring, and experience with crisis intervention, behavioral health consultation, and case management. Candidates must also have training in DSM-5-TR diagnosis and classification, therapeutic orientations, and treatment modalities.

Salary: $56,000–$62,000 annually
