The DuPage County Health Department has a proud history of supporting individuals living with behavioral health challenges — and now, we’re excited to announce an opportunity for a Behavioral Health Services Supervisor in our Residential Program!
In this vital role, you’ll have the opportunity to inspire and guide talented behavioral health professionals across several residential sites. You’ll provide both clinical and administrative leadership to teams delivering care 24/7—making a meaningful impact every single day in the lives of those we serve.
As a Behavioral Health Services Supervisor, you will:
Monitor and analyze program outcomes, implementing quality control processes to ensure effectiveness.
Recommend and initiate improvements that increase efficiency, enhance service quality, and create positive operational impacts.
Interview, hire, and train assigned staff.
Provide both administrative and clinical supervision to staff delivering clinical and case management services across residential settings.
Serve as a liaison with external agencies and individuals who share a mutual interest in the department’s work.
Participate in emergency response activities as assigned.
Maintain all required training, licensure, and certifications; safeguard confidentiality of privileged information; and strictly adhere to patient privacy laws.
Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and understanding of diverse ethnic groups and cultures.
Remain available to respond to client, site, and staff needs 24/7, adjusting your schedule as needed to provide supervision across day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
5 years of behavioral health experience (including at least 3 years in a supervisory role) OR an equivalent combination of education/experience
Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
Candidates should possess a comprehensive knowledge of professional mental health standards, billing procedures, and documentation, as well as an understanding of community resources and management principles. Moreover, they should have strong skills in staff coaching, training, and supervision; policy interpretation and application; fostering professional relationships; client interviewing, assessment, and evaluation; concurrent documentation; and effective communication, both oral and written. Proficiency in personal computers, relevant software, and peripherals is required, along with the ability to engage support from external entities and manage budget preparations.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.
WORK FLEXIBILITY:This position requires essential on-site functions but also offers eligibility for a hybrid work arrangement.
