We have a leadership position available on our Crisis Services team at the DuPage County Health Department! Working as a Peer Support Crisis Services Supervisor, you will be supervising the work of professional level staff responsible for providing peer support services to both children and adults. You will be required to have the ability to prioritize staff and workload in order to effectively meet client needs during urgent, unpredictable situations
The hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with occasional weekend on-call availability. *Salary may increase based on experience.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES TO BE PERFORMED WITH OR WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS:
- Supervises the work of assigned staff.
- Reviews charts and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Provides support to staff regarding unique or complex client situations.
- Interviews, hires and trains assigned staff.
- Identifies and resolves employee relations and performance issues.
- Provides appropriate leadership and direction and promotes positive morale, creativity and teamwork among staff.
- Evaluates employee performance and sets clear goals and expectations.
- Performs direct service and meets established productivity goals.
- Prepares various reports on operations and activities.
- Collaborate with other supervisory staff to develop department priorities and goals.
- Develop integrated operational procedures and practices.
- Monitors and analyzes program outcomes and implements quality control processes.
- Make recommendations and initiates improvements to increase efficiency, improve quality of services or result in other positive operational impacts.
- Keeps up to date on billing changes that may impact service delivery.
- Provides input into the budget process in order to prepare budgets that enable the department to meet its objectives.
- Collaborate with other medical staff to develop treatment plans and participate in clinical staff meetings.
- Serves as consultant to service providers in the community and assists with clinical, program or administrative issues.
- Demonstrates independent judgment and discretion in making position related decisions.
- Participates in emergency activities as assigned.
- Maintain required training, licensure and/or certification.
- Maintains confidentiality of privileged information and adheres to client privacy laws.
- Demonstrates sensitivity and understanding of other ethnic groups and cultures; available to respond to clients and/or customers, either in person or over the phone, during business hours and/or clinic times.
- Provides coaching, training and clinical supervision to staff in crisis programs. Provides operational oversight of crisis programming and ensures quality service.
Completion of a Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field and five years of experience in community behavioral health services, which included at least three years in a supervisory position; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience working as a peer support specialist is also required
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires current credentialing as a Certified Recovery Support Specialist. The position performs essential on-site functions and is eligible for hybrid work arrangement. This is a grant funded position.

Ensures that the work of the unit responsible is timely, complete, and accurate.
