The Opportunity
We are seeking an Arabic-speaking therapist to provide individual, family, and group therapy as part of our multidisciplinary team. This role is for a clinician who values strong clinical relationships and practical support that helps clients make real progress over time.
What You’ll Do
- Build respectful, consistent relationships with clients and support their engagement in care.
- Complete or assist with behavioral health assessments and person-centered treatment plans within scope of practice.
- Provide individual and group counseling, skill-building, and behavioral health interventions under appropriate supervision.
- Use evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches to strengthen coping, emotional regulation, communication, and daily functioning.
- Provide case management and help clients address needs related to housing, benefits, health care, transportation, employment, education, and other supports.
- Help clients identify strengths, set practical goals, and work toward greater stability and independence.
- Monitor changes in symptoms, functioning, participation, and progress toward treatment goals.
- Support clients with mental health and co-occurring substance use needs and connect them with additional services when appropriate.
- Coordinate care with therapists, psychiatric providers, case managers, navigators, primary care providers, families, and community partners.
- Support referrals, follow-up, and transitions after hospitalization, crisis services, or changes in level of care.
- Identify safety concerns and follow GEC crisis response procedures.
- Complete timely, accurate EHR documentation that reflects services provided, client response, progress, and next steps.
- Participate in team meetings, case consultation, supervision, and quality improvement activities.
What You’ll Bring
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Current Illinois LCPC, LPC, LCSW, LSW, or eligibility for Illinois licensure.
- Experience in behavioral health, community mental health, or a related setting.
- Ability to work respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Arabic and English bilingual skills strongly preferred.
