The Program Coordinator is a valuable member of our Behavioral Health team who supervises and oversees all aspects of the Mobile Crisis Response Program which provides 24/7 mobile response to individuals and families in the community experiencing a mental health crisis. Provides the clinical direction for the program and is responsible for the adherence and development of the philosophy and delivery of services at the program. Responsible for community outreach and engagement related to the crisis response system. The Program Coordinator will function as a community liaison and focus on administrative and systems change.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who is
- Understanding of mental health crisis and the value of providing an in-person, collaborative, supportive response to the community whenever they need it.
- Understanding of peer support work and the importance of this role in mental health crisis.
- The ability to manage staff challenges and ensure adherence to program expectations.
Schedule: 40 hours a week
- Monday-Friday (8am-5pm)
- 24/7 on-call responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Is on-call to respond to/assist with team needs 24/7.
- Works collaboratively with the Program Coordinator for the Crisis Care Program to coordinate services.
- Provides clinical and administrative supervision and development of program staff, including completion of evaluations.
- Monitors the program's adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Assures ongoing compliance with Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center, Joint Commission Accreditation of Health Organization, federal and state standards and regulations.
- Tracks all program data including Key Performance Indicators and leads Continuous Quality Improvement projects for the program.
- Promotes and facilitates the professional development of program staff by means of in-service training sessions.
- Interview job applicants for program positions.
- Provides direction on the scope, types, and evaluation of clinical and administrative programming that is offered utilizing published best practices and empirically proven clinical methodologies in the delivery of client care.
- Demonstrates leadership abilities in conducting administrative and clinical meetings and ensures effective communication among all staff regarding administrative and clinical issues.
- Maintains accountability standards required by LCHD/CHC and funding sources relative to quality and quantity of services provided by staff members.
Education
- Master’s Degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related field is strongly preferred.
- (4) four years experience in the behavioral health field, which includes (2) two years of supervisory experience.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (L.C.S.W.), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (L.C.P.C.) upon hire required.
