The CENTER for Human Services, a leading provider of behavioral health care services, is seeking a Recovery Community Center Coordinator. 

Responsibilities:

• Shall be familiar with and supportive of the domains of Advocacy, Professional Responsibility, Mentoring, and Recovery Support utilized within the program

• Provide advocacy and mentoring 

• Provide supervision of Recovery Community Staff

• Distribution of information on community resources to clients

• Develop collaborative working relationships with community agencies, homeless shelters, therapists, physicians, and law enforcement personnel

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work,
  psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy, or a related service field with at least 5 years of related experience in the human service field
• Personal experience in recovery from lived experience with mental illness and/or a substance use disorder
• Willingness and ability to engage in self-disclosure to assist in treatment
• Passion to help others with their recovery
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid Illinois driver’s license

Preferred Qualification:

• Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) designation within the State of Illinois
