Mental health plays a vital role in an individual's overall well-being. If mental health issues are not addressed, they can lead to various complications. As an Outpatient Therapist, you will have a crucial role in helping clients manage their mental health and understand their emotions. You will help create a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can freely express themselves and gain insight into their mental health issues.

Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing evidence-based therapy to a diverse range of clients. We specialize in various therapies such as EMDR, TF-CBT, play therapy, and sand tray therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements: Master's required, LCPC/LCSW and previous experience preferred. Must be able to able to work at least one evening per week to meet the needs of school-aged children and working adults.
Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, organized, basic computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate and explore alternative solutions, Ability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues and to negotiate and integrate different viewpoints.
Miscellaneous: Must pass pre-employment drug screens and background clearances.

Our main campus is located in Mt. Vernon, IL and we operate several programs/offices there. However, we also have locations in Olney, Springfield, and West Frankfort. Spero Family Services provides more than 10 social service programs aimed to support some of the most vulnerable children and families in our region. These include residential and group home services, counseling, foster care, child and family services, and many others.
