Spero is a multi-faceted social service agency that offers more than 10 programs to individuals, children, and families across the region. Job Purpose: Responsible for the supervision and oversight of programs as assigned. Provide direct supervision and support to assigned staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Duties (Direct Program Supervision):
Clinical Supervision
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in a Human Services, previous experience in clinical mental health and intensive clinical treatment of children and adolescents, and previous supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Current LCSW or LCPC licensure, 5 years of previous clinical program management experience.
Skills: Must be organized, able to multi-task, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, basic computer skills, and detail oriented. Must be able to interact with, and relate to, diverse groups of people. Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills and have the ability to recognize and report issues or concerns pertaining to program operations. Must have experience and knowledge in a variety evidence-based clinical intervention. Must be able to work collaboratively with program managers/clinicians and have sound knowledge of trauma informed practices.
Miscellaneous: Must pass all pre-employment drug screens and background clearances. Must be willing to travel and work flexible hours to meet the needs of the program.

Our main campus is located in Mt. Vernon, IL and we operate several programs/offices there. However, we also have locations in Olney, Springfield, and West Frankfort. Spero Family Services provides more than 10 social service programs aimed to support some of the most vulnerable children and families in our region. These include residential and group home services, counseling, foster care, child and family services, and many others.
