As a Children’s Mental Health Therapist your responsibilities will include:
We are currently looking for passionate and committed masters-level therapists who are dedicated to providing high-quality mental health care to serve more children. If you are a dedicated and compassionate mental health therapist with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of children, we invite you to apply. Training (i.e. play therapy, sand-tray therapy) will be provided.
Requirements: Master's required, LCPC/LCSW and previous experience working with children preferred
Skills: Must be organized, able to multi-task, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, basic computer skills, and detail oriented. Must be able to interact with, and relate to, diverse groups of people.
Miscellaneous: Must pass pre-employment drug screens and background clearances.

Our main campus is located in Mt. Vernon, IL and we operate several programs/offices there. However, we also have locations in Olney, Springfield, and West Frankfort. Spero Family Services provides more than 10 social service programs aimed to support some of the most vulnerable children and families in our region. These include residential and group home services, counseling, foster care, child and family services, and many others.
