Job Summary

The Director of Psychiatric Services will oversee the psychiatric services department. This role will  supervise staff and provide leadership to the department.  Director of Psychiatric Services is responsible for creating and implementing new policies and procedures to ensure compliance with guidelines under CARF and BALC. This role will work with a psychiatric services team to coordinate and advocate for our patients' care. This role will assist with maintaining a high level of client and personnel satisfaction.

 The ideal candidate will have more of an administrative focus rather than clinical.

Essential Responsibilities and Metrics

• Oversee the psychiatric services department which includes APRN’s, Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Services Manager, case managers, coordinators and schedulers with the intention of ensuring departmental success i.e., productivity, client satisfaction, effective and efficient policies, processes, and procedures
• Oversee APRN productivity targets are met, and all tools and oversight are provided to staff with productivity expectations monthly
• Oversee the onboarding and offboarding of psychiatric services staff members including Rush Fellows, Psychiatric Providers, Psychiatric Services Manager, case managers, coordinators and schedulers
•  Manage, create and implement new policies and procedures to ensure compliance with guidelines under CARF and BALC monthly
• Address client related issues and patient complaints with psychiatric providers within two (2) weeks of receiving initial inquiry
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and those that focus on improving delivery of medication management service
• Performs additional tasks and projects as deemed necessary by the Chief Clinical Officer
