We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Program Manager to support daily operations at our outpatient counseling center. In this role, you will help guide clinical and administrative staff, promote a positive and collaborative work culture, and ensure that our services reflect the core values of our organization.

We provide evidence-based therapy to a diverse range of clients, both children and adults, and we specialize in various therapies such as EMDR, TF-CBT, play therapy, and sand tray therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements: Master’s Degree in a Human Services field, eligibility to become IM+CANS certified, and previous counseling experience required. 3 years of previous counseling experience, LCSW or LCPC, and previous supervisory experience preferred.
Skills: Must be organized, able to multi-task, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, basic computer skills, and detail oriented. Must be able to interact with, and relate to, diverse groups of people. Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills and have the ability to recognize and report issues or concerns pertaining to program operations.
Miscellaneous: Must pass pre-employment drug screens and background clearances.

Our main campus is located in Mt. Vernon, IL and we operate several programs/offices there. However, we also have locations in Olney, Springfield, and West Frankfort. Spero Family Services provides more than 10 social service programs aimed to support some of the most vulnerable children and families in our region. These include residential and group home services, counseling, foster care, child and family services, and many others.
