We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Program Manager to support daily operations at our outpatient counseling center. In this role, you will help guide clinical and administrative staff, promote a positive and collaborative work culture, and ensure that our services reflect the core values of our organization.

We provide evidence-based therapy to a diverse range of clients, both children and adults, and we specialize in various therapies such as EMDR, TF-CBT, play therapy, and sand tray therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Management: Assist the Program Manager in providing oversight to program(s) as assigned. Duties may include program implementation, program development, and client outcomes.

• Staffing and Supervision: Oversee the staffing and supervision of employees as assigned. Duties may include overseeing the recruitment and retention of staff, interviewing and hiring, providing oversight and support, and providing appropriate corrective action plans for staff when necessary.

• Counseling: Provide counseling services to clients assigned and ensure sessions are individualized to meet the treatment needs and goals. Duties may include maintaining current information regarding therapeutic interventions relevant to the populations served, preparing for counseling sessions to ensure productivity towards achieving the client’s goals during sessions, referral for additional services outside of agency, providing training for other therapists during clinical staffing.

• Treatment Planning: Create individualized treatment plans for each client. Duties may include attending clinical and case management staffings, consulting with other staff as necessary, collaborating with other therapists, and ensuring that employees supervised are completing treatment planning accurately and timely.

• Documentation: Ensure all documentation and reports are accurate and completed in a timely manner. Duties may include conducting file reviews and monitoring documentation of employees as assigned.

• Community Relations: Assist in representing the agency and advocating for needed services. Ensure collaboration and strong communication with community partners and referral sources.

Requirements: Master’s Degree in a Human Services field, eligibility to become IM+CANS certified, and previous counseling experience required. 3 years of previous counseling experience, LCSW or LCPC, and previous supervisory experience preferred.

Skills: Must be organized, able to multi-task, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, basic computer skills, and detail oriented. Must be able to interact with, and relate to, diverse groups of people. Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills and have the ability to recognize and report issues or concerns pertaining to program operations.

Miscellaneous: Must pass pre-employment drug screens and background clearances.
