Mental Health Counselor II: The Qualified Mental Health Professional is defined as an individual who possesses a master’s degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy, and who has completed a practicum or internship that included a minimum of 1,000 hours of supervised direct service in addiction treatment or who has at least one year of clinical experience under the supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional. Mental Health Counselor III: An individual who possesses an accredited Master’s in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy, with two (2) years of clinical experience providing Illinois rule 132 mental health services exclusively to adults, their families, and identified support systems. The individual must possess and maintain current and valid licensure in Illinois as either a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
