Position Summary:

Blue Kite Wellness is seeking a dedicated Therapeutic Mentor to support children and adolescents in developing essential life and social skills. The mentor will work under the supervision of a licensed clinician, implementing individualized strategies to promote positive behavior and personal growth in home and community settings. This role serves as a vital link between the child, their family, and other service providers to ensure comprehensive support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meet weekly productivity and service delivery requirements.
• Provide one-on-one mentoring to clients based on an individualized treatment plan.
• Support skill-building in social interactions, emotional regulation, and daily life activities.
• Collaborate regularly with the child and family team to adjust interventions as needed.
• Maintain documentation of client progress, behavior patterns, and interventions.
• Report any challenges or barriers to service delivery to the clinical team.
• Ensure all sessions occur in a safe and structured environment.
• Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical standards at all times.
• Engage in ongoing communication with referral sources and other providers as needed.
• Participate in required staff meetings, training, and professional development.
• Conduct in-home and community-based visits as required by the program.

Qualifications:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• At least one year of experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
• Experience with behavioral and emotional challenges, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass a strict background check with finger prints.

Work Environment & Expectations:

• Sessions take place in home and community settings.
• Travel required within the designated service area.
• Flexible scheduling, including evening and weekend availability as needed.
• Must be comfortable working in various home environments, including exposure to pets.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
