
POSITION SUMMARY
Trains, authorizes and delegates medication administration to non-licensed direct care staff in the CILA setting. Responsible for direct and indirect care given to assigned CILA residents in compliance with state regulations, professional standards of practice, physician orders, and individual health/treatment plans. Conducts nursing assessments and identifies health needs. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and physician's orders. Responsible for providing training to CILA staff regarding medication usage, storage, and administration services in compliance with Rule 116 requirements. Acts as a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary team in agency and participates in risk mitigation planning.
