The Hour House is a Substance Abuse Treatment Facility that has been in business for over 50 years. The mission of Hour House is to provide hope to individuals, families and our community
through outstanding delivery of our substance use disorder services.
The goals of the agency are to accomplish:
1) To provide substance use disorder and behavioral health treatment programs to all persons requesting
services regardless of age; race, color, sex, creed, or method of payment.
2) To provide a channel of communication among agencies serving individuals who have problems with
substance use disorder and/or behavioral health issues.
3) To promote understanding and meaningful discussions among the entire community about the
problems of substance use disorder and behavioral health issues.
4) To engage in prevention, rehabilitation, and recovery activities in the community at large.
5) To continuously strive for improvement of service delivery activities through the application of
systematic service evaluation designs.
6) To engage in activities that help promote the purposes of the Corporation; and,
7) To promote, encourage, and provide programs on the nature and prevention of substance use disorder
and behavioral health problems.
To attain these goals, the agency has developed a full continuum of care by establishing services
including Intake, Detoxification, Adult Residential, Intensive Outpatient, Adult Outpatient, Adolescent
Outpatient, Halfway Houses for Women and Men, Recovery Homes for Women, Women with Children
and Men, Gambling Disorder Services, DUI Evaluation and Risk Education, Comprehensive Prevention,
the Illinois Family Resource Center, Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC) Council, and Internship
Services.
